About the event
This tournament is open registration. This means any individual can register and be placed on an existing team, regardless whether that quizzer's district is sending anyone else. You can put together your own team from your own district and register that way, or you can register just yourself and you'll be put on a team of quizzers from other districts.

The format will be a scramble meet with three divisions: A, B, and C (i.e. juniors). The A and B divisions will cover Luke 1, 2, 3, and 9, while the juniors will cover Luke 2, 3, and 10. The A and B divisions will use a set of new "test rules", which will be forthcoming in the next few weeks. These rules are designed to promote specific outcomes that, upon a great deal of study across denominational and inter-denominational quizzing programs, have been fruitful in growing quizzing:
1. Simplify and streamline "the game" format (i.e. make things easier to understand if you have no background).
2. Make "entry-level" success more attainable.
3. Raise the point-ceiling for top quizzers without increasing their question-ceiling.
Josiah Lienbach is still working out the final details, but some rules from last year will be retained (e.g. the Progressive Bonus system from Heartland), while some will be dropped (e.g. 5-question quiz outs, only the person who errors sits out, etc.), while others will be new (e.g. combining MAs into INTs). This year should be less ad hoc than last year, since Josiah has a better idea of how the incentive structures work.
Like last year, there is a block rate at the Cobblestone Hotel in Orrville, so use the block rate for "Central Bible Quizzing" when you book your rooms (likely better to call).
